The City of Newburyport, MA, a popular "go-to destination" on the coastal northshore taps Human Resources Services, Inc. for a compensation and classification study. Newburyport is a coastal city in Essex County, 35 miles northeast of Boston. An historic seaport with a vibrant tourism industry, Newburyport includes part of Plum Island too. Upon adopting a new charter in 2011 which took effect in 2013, Newburyport has been run by a Mayor with a four-year term and an eleven-member City Council.
